The Bergen County Firefighter's Pipe Band mourns the devastating loss of our friend and long time drum instructor
Martin Duffy. Martin and his daughter Hannah died at their home January 13, 2004 when they were overcome by carbon monoxide.
Martin came to us in 1999 and quickly earned the respect of all in our band. His talent, patience
and most of all committment to us will be impossible to replace.
His memory will forever be a part of this band and his name will continue to be spoken without effort and
will invoke nothing but fond memories.
While he is out of our sight he will never be forgotten and he will live in our hearts and minds until that
day when each of us is called home and we enjoy his company again.
